At Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry, Dr. Kari Ann Hong has prepared and delivered thousands of beautiful crowns and bridges to very satisfied patients. We do our best to make the process simple, comfortable and easy.
A crown preparation appointment typically takes about an hour and a half to shape the tooth, take impressions and fabricate/cement a temporary crown. We then send the impressions to our local lab, which fabricates the crown in two weeks. At that point, you will return to our office for a 30 minute appointment to adjust and cement the crown. The newly crowned tooth will be esthetically and functionally indistinguishable from the original.
